Fix it or throw it away? That has always been the dilemma when confronted with a broken part. The only reason why you would want to repair it is obviously cost-driven as it's often cheaper to repair plastics than it is to replace it. The thing to remember is the repaired part will never be as strong as a new replacement part and as long as it's a non-load-bearing component, it should be fine to repair it.
They say the eyes are the windows to one's soul and if that's the case, you can probably draw parallels to a car's headlights - more so if you're a car nut!
